Stupid Animal Trends

Oh boy do I love cute things. Ask anyone who's ever seen me see a cute (little) dog, or spent a good 45 minutes perusing CuteOverload.com with me.

I love some trends that have come out of this cute culture, like:

- LOLcats
- designer mutts
- the odd walrus

But one thing I cannot deal with is the exploitation of an already stretched thin "funny" idea, such as this one:



Seriously? THANKS FOR THAT CAPTION, BECAUSE WE TOTALLY DIDN'T GET THAT FROM THE TITLE. Jesus. Unfunniness pisses me off. It's not that hard guys, really. Use your brains.

A very fine week

So I have a big week ahead of me:

- Monday I have a make-up tutorial (left over from having to switch tutors) in which we'll discuss a poem I wrote

- Tuesday my friend Carmen from high school is gonna be visiting for the day, so I have an excuse to do touristy things around town

- Wednesday I'll be furiously writing a paper for my normal tutorial, which is on

- Thursday, and after my tutorial I'm going to see Broken Social Scene in concert!

- FRIDAY: Nicko is coming to spend the weekend, which will almost certainly be jawesome

Now, I just have to motivate myself to finish the reading for my upcoming tutorial and start writing my paper for next Tuesday's...
